Hello, and Welcome!
I am a photographer living in Central New York. I have been interested in photography ever since my Dad let me use his Polaroid and Brownie cameras to take photographs. As a teenager, when my peers were saving money to buy a car, I was saving money to buy a camera. I still have that very first camera (and it still works beautifully)!! I put this interest aside for several years as life “happened,” but over the past several years have begun to devote time to it once again.
My interests range from film to digital, to alternative photographic processes such as lumen prints, and Polaroid emulsion lifts and transfers. I am not only interested in the photograph itself, but also in the technical aspects used to make the photograph. I am definitely not a purist when it comes to editing, as I enjoy this process almost as much as I enjoy capturing the photograph.
“If it evokes an emotion in me, it is that emotion I want to capture.” This best describes my photography. It is a part of who I am and how I move through my world. It might be something as simple as a dewdrop resting on a blade of grass on a warm summer morning; something as breathtaking as a beautiful sunrise over the ocean; or the precious look in my dog’s eyes when I tell her what a good girl she is!!
I am an affiliate photographer for The Tilly Project, offering end-of-life photography for pets who are seniors and/or have been given a terminal diagnosis, and their families. To read more about this, just click on the “Forget-Me_Not Pet Photography” link at the top of this page. This is the only service that I offer.
